He's
referred to as the Ladies Man, others call him Hugh Heffner,
some
call him the Playboy but he will always be recognized as HEFF.
Heff's a dog that single handedly started a movement that swept
the entire nation. The dogs you're going to see posted on this
site are in some way, shape or form all Heff decendents. These
dogs are owned by many different people with many different
backgrounds.
Some of the owners are breeders while others are used for protection
and the best ones of all are family pets. When you see a Heff
dog there's no mistaking the signature look they call carry.
A
lot of dogs try to gain the national following that Heff has
but very few actually succeed. There are only a few dogs in
the last
5 years that have had the impact and following Heff has put together.
I've always had the belief that if your dog is really as good
as you say he/she is, you won't have to say anything because
everyone around you is saying it for you. Heff's a dog that
speaks for
himself.
Heff
was born May 26, 2005 from an in-house breeding with Sativa
and Menace. He got his signature body from his mother who comes
from the legendary Dozer X Daisy combo, put together by John @
Blue Pit Kennels. His head, bone and overall substance are compliments
of his father Menace. Thanks to Curt @ CLP Kennels and Shawn @
True Tank for the use of Menance. Without either of the 3 people
mentioned above Heff would not be in existance today. We all knew
from the time Heff was born he was a future superstar and had
the ability to hang with the best of them.
The
first time Heff came out in public he was 10 months at the Houston
Bully Expo where he took his age group. It was the first
time
the nation had seen Heff and even more reason to believe Heff
had the ability to be one of the greats one day. Throughout
Heff's
life the maturity and development he exhibited was that of dogs
six months older than him. Ever since that show there has
been
a demand from the public to incorporate Heff into breeding programs
across the nation. The wheels had already began turning....
now
it was just a matter of time.
Heff
had the good fortune of being bred to some of the best females
in the country. I've always felt it takes two to tango and Heff's
offspring all exhibit quality parents on both sides of the equation.
Much thanks to the owners of the females that have used Heff over
the last 2 years. Without all of you he wouldn't have near the
national following he does today.
By
the time Heff was a year and a half old the offspring from his first
handful of breedings were all starting to hit an age where we
could start seeing what traits Heff was passing along. At the
same time he was still maturing and developing himself. The next
few shows he entered he won and gave us the confidence that nothing
had changed since Houston. He still had the chance to be a national
superstar but his offspring is what is going to get him the seal
of approval needed to carry such a title.
Heff's
show career all came together when he won the honor of being
named the 2007 ABKC National Champion that took place in Detroit
Michigan
September 29, 2007. All the hard work and effort, traveling to
various shows, dealing with all the politics throughout the
last
2 years finally paid off. The Playboy Club was already gaining
steam around the nation.
After he won the national championship it
set in stone the fact that he had a place among the greats.
The
Playboy Club was formed for all of you that follow Heff, his
offspring and appreciate dogs that truly speak for themselves.
Today Heff
has a following that reaches far beyond the US borders into countries
across seas. The success of the Playboy Club is much more
than Heff himself, it's driven by all of the owners of Heff decendents
at all the various shows across the country and the breeding
programs
that incorporate his blood as another tool to better their own
yard. Thank you to all the supporters of what the Playboy Club
has to offer.
Your success is
our success.
